Every Vugo wrap campaign puts your brand on rideshare, delivery, taxi and fleet cars that are already out on the road all day. What changes from one format to the next is how much of the car you get, how fast you can be on the street, and how many cars your budget covers.

There are three ways to buy:

  • A full or custom wrap, designed with Vugo for the cars on your campaign. The whole car, or the panels you choose, becomes your brand.
  • The Standard Wrap: both sides of the car and the rear window, bought right in Vugo Platform.
  • Tiles: 20 × 18-inch panels on the doors, two or four to a car, printed and shipped to the drivers.

The three formats side by side

Full and custom wraps: the statement

A full wrap turns the whole car into your brand. It's the format people stop and look at, and the one to choose when recognition from a distance matters most: a launch, a big local moment, a brand that wants to own a city for a season.

Custom wraps cover more than the sides without going all the way: a 270° wrap adds the rear quarters, bumper and trunk, and a partial wrap can leave the car's own color showing between your panels. Each one is designed with Vugo and the wrap shop for the cars on your campaign and quoted per request. Plan about four weeks for a full wrap, since the design is fitted to each car before anything prints.

Choose it when you want the biggest canvas, the most attention per car, or a design that wraps around the whole vehicle.

The Standard Wrap: the simple buy

The Standard Wrap covers both sides of the car and the rear window, on perforated film the driver can still see out of. It's the coverage most campaigns want, in a format you can plan and buy yourself in Vugo Platform.

You design one master layout on Vugo's 1:10 templates, and the shop fits it to each make and model. If you'd rather not design it yourself, Vugo's design team can build it with you from your brand files. The start date is at least 14 days after you submit, which leaves time to check the artwork, print it and book installs.

Choose it when you want a wrapped car that reads from both sides of the street and from behind, without a custom design project.

Tiles: the widest reach

Tiles are 20 × 18-inch panels on the doors: one visual and one short message, the same size on every car. Buy them two to a car, one on each side, or four, one on every door. Vugo prints them and ships them to the drivers on your campaign, who apply them, and production is included in the monthly price.

Because there's no shop appointment to book, Tiles are the fastest way onto cars: the start date can be as soon as seven days after you submit. And because each car carries less, a budget covers more of them. A car carries at most two Tiles advertisers and never shares with a Standard Wrap, so your message isn't lost in a crowd.

Choose it when you want your name on as many streets as possible, as soon as possible, in one market or many.

Which one fits your campaign

A decision guide: if you want the biggest statement, choose a full wrap; if you want both sides and the rear window, simply, choose the Standard Wrap; if you want the most cars, fast, choose Tiles; and to do both, pair a few full wraps with many cars carrying Tiles.
Start with the job the campaign has to do.

Start with the job, not the format:

  • "We're launching, and we want people to notice." A full wrap, maybe with a swarm to bring the cars to the launch for the hours that matter.
  • "We want steady visibility for a season." The Standard Wrap, for both sides and the rear window on every car.
  • "We want to be everywhere, quickly." Tiles, two or four to a car, across as many cars and markets as the plan needs.
  • "We want all of it." Pair them. A few fully wrapped cars make the statement, and many cars with Tiles repeat it all over the city.

Whichever you choose, every car is checked from install photos before billing starts, and wrapped cars send photo proof each month of the flight. On wrap campaigns you can also schedule swarms, bringing the wrapped cars to a venue or along a route for a window you choose.

What it costs

Every format is priced per car per month, and quoted for your campaign. As a guide, wraps and Tiles typically work out to a CPM of about $0.75 to $5, depending on how long the campaign runs: the cost of production is the same whether the car carries your brand for two months or six, so longer flights cost less per thousand impressions. See how that compares with TV, digital and billboards.

Three things move the price most:

  • How much of the car you buy. Tiles cost less per car than a Standard Wrap, and a Standard Wrap less than a full wrap.
  • How many cars, in which markets.
  • How long the flight runs. Two months is the minimum; most wrap campaigns run two to six.

The short version

  • Full wrap: the biggest statement, designed with Vugo. Plan about four weeks.
  • Standard Wrap: both sides and the rear window, bought in the platform. 14 days.
  • Tiles: one message on the doors of many cars. 7 days.
