Last week, the Mondial de l'Auto came back to Paris for the first time since 2018, and Vugo was there. From October 17 to 23, the Paris Motor Show filled Paris Expo Porte de Versailles as the centerpiece of Paris Automotive Week, alongside Equip Auto, the trade show for the services side of the industry.

We were there with Mobilize, Renault Group's brand for new mobility, to show Vugo to the people who run vehicles for a living.

Why Mobilize

Mobilize is built around a simple idea: in cities, more and more vehicles will be shared, and they'll be sold with services rather than on their own. At the show, Mobilize set out that vision with its vehicles and concepts designed for shared use, from Duo, a two-seat electric vehicle, to Bento, its utility version.

Vugo fits that picture from the inside. A shared vehicle carries passengers all day, and every one of them has time on their hands. Vugo turns that time into a better experience for the passenger and new revenue for the fleet and the driver.

That's why Vugo and Renault are working together on a program to bring Vugo to France and the United Kingdom.

What we showed

We showcased Vugo during the show's business-to-business program, to fleets, operators and other potential customers.

At the center was the passenger experience: a screen in front of the back seat, including our new embedded display, built into the vehicle itself for a cleaner, more integrated experience. Passengers get entertainment and information. Brands get a screen in front of people on their way somewhere. Fleets and drivers earn new revenue from the advertising.

Back home in the U.S., the same fleets carry Vugo on the outside of the car too, with vehicle wraps, digital rooftop displays and swarms.

The conversations

The best part of the week was the people. The Paris Motor Show put Vugo in front of a European audience at a scale we've never had before, and it led to a lot of great conversations with fleets: what their riders want, what their drivers need, and how a passenger experience could add revenue to every vehicle they run.

Thank you to the Mobilize and Renault teams for having us in Paris, and to everyone who stopped by. If you run a fleet in Europe or North America, we'd love to continue the conversation.
